Llewellyn Davies
A sculptor for over 30 years, his work has sold in countless countries and through major auction houses across the globe. Known for both his human and wildlife forms, his distinctive style will stand out among all the pieces available for auction; his work has an incredibly smooth finish to it along with a more monochrome patina, allowing for light to bounce off of each piece and highlight that which Llewellyn himself sees as a defining aspect of the sculpture.
Llewellyn’s mastery of his subjects comes in part due to his almost unmatched ability to get proportion, light, and even negative space “just so”. With his wildlife pieces, light will bounce and play off of an animal’s skeletal and muscular frame which will hold tension and imply movement in his work, making it hard to pull your eyes away.
